Southlands Equestrian Centre is a private livery yard set on the side of Chinthurst Hill, just minutes from central Guildford. Run by BHS Intermediate Instructor Sonia Mayne, Southlands offers full and part livery for horse owners, together with expert tuition — in dressage, show jumping and eventing — for riders on their own horses. Whether your horse is stabled with us full time or you are bringing them to the yard for a lesson, Sonia provides personalised, experienced coaching tailored to horse and rider alike.
A team of grooms and groundsmen keep every facility in excellent condition year round.

Sonia Mayne is a BHS registered Intermediate Instructor who has trained with numerous classical dressage trainers over the years. She started out in eventing and show jumping and has represented England (Southern Team) in dressage. Sonia enjoys training riders of all ages and levels in dressage, show jumping and eventing, both on site at Southlands and at local cross-country venues including Parwood, Coombelands and Tweseldown.
